| OFFICER INFORMATION

Juniors & Seniors are invited to campaign for your office of choice at the Oct. and Nov. meetings, 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Parliamentary Procedure will be conducted from 7:30-8:30pm. Elections are held at the Nov. monthly meeting. Requirements to be an Officer: - must be age 9 and older - must have been enrolled in 4-H for one full year - must complete an officer application (see form below) - must go to officer training, if elected. Date is in Nov. - must be committed to coming to all general club monthly meeting Offices are one year terms. Office Positions (with brief descriptions) to be elected in Nov. are: President - conducts the meetings (sits at head table at meeting) Vice President - presides when President is absent and coordinates the program (sits at head table at meeting) Secretary - takes minutes of the meeting, keeps a secretary book, and reads back the minutes of every meeting (sits at head table at meeting) Co-Secretary - assists secretary and assumes duties if Secretary is not present (sits at head table at meeting) Treasurer - reads the Treasurer's report and coordinates meeting time with the club adult Treasurer, Chris Taylor (sits at head table at meeting) Historians (2-3) - coordinates with members and logs in a scrapbook photos and brief reports of club activities Reporters (2) - submits reports to media and the county 4-H office news about our club Recreation (2) - organizes and leads a game for every meeting Safety & Logistics (2) - sees that the meeting runs orderly & safely Sergeant-at-Arms (2) to help maintain order at meetings. Health Officer - suggest healthy habits at every meeting Song Leaders (2) - organizes and leads a song at every meeting Parliamentarian - sees that the meeting is conducted in proper order to Robert's Rules of Order and that votes are conducted in the proper fashion and that a quorum is present. Here are some campaign ideas: - Make your own poster - Bring stickers or labels with your info on it - Bring give-aways with your info on it - Get creative - dress the part! One might answer these questions: - What can you do for your club? - Will you / have you been an active 4-Her - Why you are best suited for the position |
