HIKING PROJECT

HIKING PROJECT (all ages welcome, project or not):
 
  • Hike at Sky Meadows State Park Nov. 22. Be there at the parking lot at at 11:00. We will be hiking about 2 miles, some of it will be uphill. There will be a $4.00 park entrance charge, which covers a tour of the historical 1840's MT. Bleak Stone House. Everyone should meet at the parking lot upon arrival.   • Hike at Manassas Battlefield in Manassas March 14 Sat at 11:00. Meet at the museum parking lot. PLEASE RSVP BY MARCH 8 IF YOU ANTICIPATE GOING.
    The entrance fee per adult is $3.00, children are free. There is also a film that can be seen about the Civil War for those who would like to see it, it runs 45 mins long, fee for adults is $3.00, age 15 and under free. The film is rated PG13 note there will be war scenes and more that may not be suitable for some children. There will be a guided tours given regularly so that our group can attend one of these of Henry Hill area,  about a .75 mile hike. This tour runs about an hour. Thereafter if anyone desires to take a longer hike and perhaps have a packed lunch picnic that is also another option. Please RSVP those interested JJJPE@aol.com. Also to get more info.   • Hike Sat., May.23 at 10:15 a.m at Prince William Forest Park. We will be meeting at the Visitors Center parking lot. We will be hiking on the Laurel trail . The costs will be $5.00 per car. http://www.nps.gov/prwi/
