Fashion Revue - 2010
4-H Fashion Revue 2010 will be held March 20, 2010, 11:00 am - 3:00pm. at an assisted Living facility;

Fashion Revue is an opportunity for youth interested in clothing and textiles. Participants are to either sew their own garments or model an outfit they have purchased and assembled. Since this event will be held at a senior center in Woodbridge with the Fashion show in front of the senior citizens, it will qualify as community service time. The 4-H members will be interacting with the senior citizens. We are also looking musical talent as there is a baby grand piano available.
First step is to complete the Application form and mail/fax to Prince William County - 4-H

no later than March 10, 2010. The application is available at http://www.pwc4h.org/ If you do not have a medical form on file at 4-H, please bring a copy with you to the event.
The garments and paperwork, detailed n 1.-3. below will be turned in at the Sign-In Time which will be assigned between 11:00 am and 12:30pm. Sign-In times will be staggered during this time. We will keep sibling members in the same time frame as much as possible. You will be notified of your Sign-In time by email or phone. We ask for each participant to bring their garment(s) to be judged clean, pressed and on a hanger. They will also need the following paperwork completed before hand. 1. 4-H Fashion Revue/Clothing Record form (must be signed by 4-H leader)
2. Typed-double spaced “Commentary” to be read during show. (commentary worksheet provided as a guide to assist in writing the commentary.)
3. 4-H Fashion Revue/ Consumer Comparison Worksheet. Can use on-line shopping/catalogues in addition to stores to obtain comparisons.
The 4-H members will be split into two groups and assigned a time for judging and modelling. The judges will look at the garment and paperwork first, as well as ask them a couple of questions. Sample questions could be why you made it, most difficult, most fun parts, where you will wear it, etc.
The club
members will then be given time to put on their garment(s) and accessorize
before modelling in front of the same judges. The members will then keep
their garments on until after the fashion show in the dining room for the
residents currently scheduled to begin at 2:00pm. The awards will be issued
after the show during the reception
The judges will be available to give general feedback to the 4-H participants after the show.
Be sure to review the scoring sheets on the web site, so you will know what you are being judge on.
Categories include: Modelling - 15 points, Commentary - 20 points, Outfit on model - 30 points
Construction - 20 points, project records - 15 points. Ribbons: 70-79=White, 80-89= Red, 90-100=Blue
Cloverbuds will receive Green participation ribbons.
